The Joy of Stamping

Well, it's about time for my stamp camp! I'm looking forward to showing you the cool projects that Eva and I have been planning. I finally got my hands on a Big Shot of my own and just let me say...WOW is it cool!!! I bought a Cuttlebug a year or so ago, mainly because it was a compact and easily portable die cutting machine. At the time, Stampin' Up wasn't carrying a die cutting machine. The Big Shot is really awesome:) Our exclusive dies are all beautiful too! For those of you that already have a Cuttlebug, our dies will work in that machine as well. Just be sure if you get the extended size dies, that you have the extended cutting pads, etc.

As for the joy of stamping, I have been spending more time this week just playing around with ideas I have in my head for projects thanks to my very large personal order that arrived the other day. It's always good to remember to take a break from the usual routine and do something that brings you joy and satisfaction:)

Don't just sit there...stamp something!!!

January Class Samples

Here they are! The projects from last week's class. I must admit...I am in love with all the owl stamps in our catalog! So, I just HAD to include one in this month's class. This first card is an easy one to switch out elements and get a completely new card. The card uses a unique color combination...Pink Pirouette, Sage Shadow, and Riding Hood Red. The stamp set is a Level 3 Hostess set - Goody-goody Gumdrops.

This second card was my WOW card of the class. It's called a Stair Step card. You just cut your cardstock base to 10.5" x 5". Then score the card at 1.25", 2.5", 4.25", 6", & 8.25". Add whatever elements you want and there you go! Another very customizable card. If you plan to mail your card, you'll want to be sure that it is 4.25" x 5.5" when it is folded flat.

Our third card of the night is another interesting color combo...Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Red Riding Hood, and Creamy Caramel. I love this wide ribbon, I just haven't been using it...until now:) The stamp set is Say It With Scallops - the newest Ronald McDonald House stamp set. It won't be available after the current catalog expires, so don't wait too long.

One last note for those of you who are checking out the blog for these samples. I am working on putting together another Stamp Camp for March. The tenative date is the 21st. I'm really looking forward to it because they've been lots of fun in the past. It's about time for another one, don't you think!
