My life is finally getting back to normal after Aaron's stage debut. So, I thought I'd catch you up on what's going on with Stampin' Up. (I was hoping to upload some ideas for you, but my photo program is not cooperating).
Upcoming class:
Saturday, December 8th from 1pm - 3pm
Mini Stamp Camp: (3 cool projects that would make great gifts) - Stamping on candles and tiles have been requested. The third project is still in the planning stages.
My House (call/email for directions)
Class fee: $10
RSVP by Sunday, December 2nd.
New Catalog:
Stampin' Up is getting ready to launch the next new Idea Book and Catalog. I have decided that because I have such great customers, I'm going to give you the new catalog for free!! Let me know if you're interested in getting your free catalog and I'll reserve one for you.
December 1st I'll be emailing out the new retirement list. Be sure you get whatever you can't live without before it's too late!
OK...here's your stamping tip of the day...Many of you have asked were I come up with my card and scrapbook page ideas. The secret is...www.splitcoaststampers.com. I used to use another website that was only for demonstrators, but anymore, SCS is the way to go. There are tons of galleries of cards and scrapbook pages listed by stamp set names. You can also search by topics.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Scrapbook Class Preview
Are we having fun yet???
So what have you been stampin' lately?? Here is my latest creation...a brag book made from name badges holders. This would be a great Christmas gift for just about anyone! This little book was so quick and easy. It only took me an hour to complete (and I was watching my favorite movie at the same time!). Come to my mini stamp camp in December and make your own to give (or keep).

Mission Accomplished
Hey...long time no post:) I finally finished my projects for the Stampin' Up competition!!! My box arrived in Utah this morning (a day before the deadline!!!). I'm happy to have achieved my goal of completion, but now I'm really nervous about all the Stampin' Up people judging my projects! I wish I could get a report card or something to tell me what the judges thought of what I sent, but unless I win, I won't hear anything. I just had to share my news with all of you! (Not many people would understand what a big deal this is.)
I'm planning some fun classes for April and May. I hope to see you all soon:) Let me know if there's something you'd like to learn. I'm always open to suggestions.
Rachel
PS I've been cleaning out my stamp area, so I've got lots more stamps that need a new home. I'll be sure to have them out at my next class.

My order arrived this week with all my Spring Mini goodies & boy, have I had fun. I have some more on the way, but I couldn't wait to show you this notebook I made. This is the 5x5 on board journal covered with the Notations paper. It's not even done yet, but I love it! I'm going to use it to jot down things the boys say and little things that will be fun to read later. I made the tabs on the side with the new tab punch for each boy. I added pages using the spiral punch. The journal only comes with 20 pages (the mini says 50, but that was a type-o). Some of the pages I added are colored cardstock that coordinates with the Notations paper. All you have to do, is pull the spiral binding apart and take of the covers to add pages. The possibilities are endless!!
I'm still working away on my competition projects. I only have 2 weeks left to finish them and get the whole package to Utah. As long as no one else gets sick, I should be able to finish up. Have a great week!

Anybody Out There???
OK...I know you've been visiting...but you are not leaving comments:) Time for you to step outside of your comfort zone and add a comment or two. I've been hoping to post the projects I'm turning in to Stampin' Up for the big competition, but I just reread the rules, and I'm not allowed to! I will be taking pictures, so come to my next class, and I'll show you how great these things are turning out.
Here is a question to spark your comments....What type of class would you like to attend?? I know everybody loves Stamp-a-Stacks...but what about a beginner scrapbook class, or a class that focuses on techniques. The technique classes that I've heard about even include a 6x6 page that holds the directions and a sample so that you can create your own technique scrapbook. Would that interest you?? Please post your ideas and let me know what you are interested in.
I'd better get back to my secret projects!!!
Happy Stamping!

Color Challenge
Color combination: Ruby Red, So Saffron, Lovely Lilac, & Going Grey
Here is a fun challenge for you to try at home. Many times when I'm stuck trying to come up with a card and don't know where to start, I use the Color Coach as a starting point. Other times, I take my box (a stamp box with punched out pieces of cardstock), dump out a few colors, and go with it. If you take the challenge, email me your creations! I love to see what you've come up with!! Happy Stamping!

Quick Easy Gift
Look how cute these notebooks are! I used Stampin' Up's Designer paper and liquid glue to cover these mini composition notebooks. Stamped my nephew's names on the tag and the bugs from Bugs and Kisses to make them extra cute:) Making gifts for boys can be tricky, but with a little thought, you can make personalized gifts that anyone would love!

Colts Fans:)
I just thought you might get a kick out of seeing just how crazy my family is:) We loaded up the troops and went to the Super Bowl Rally at the RCA Dome Monday night. It was a long wait, but well worth it. Hopefully, the boys will remember being there and experiencing all the excitement. Enjoy the snow!
